“From 1844 there was a farm 'Den Hemel', referring to its location in a 'jeghenode' (surrounding land) called 'Hemelricke'. There have been numerous renovations over the centuries. The conversion to the current volume in 1886 is indicated in the land register. The farm has been a protected monument since 2004. Since 1977 it has been inhabited by my parents René Claeys & Monique Dewulf, and at the end of the 20th century our family actually bought them.
